1989 SSC barn pics

Postby motorsport1 » Wed Mar 21, 2012 5:51 pm

When I discovered 1985 #85 I also stumbled upon this 1989 SSC. It appears to be #89 and the owner says that it has been off the road for a while. This car has also been taken apart somewhat, but the owner says he has everything for it. He would not give me an idea of what he would take for it, just simply said it is not for sale. Anyway I took pics to add to the collection to share with the kids someday.

I agree - he shouldn't sell it. He should give it to someone who would restore it and treat it right.

I always amazes me how fast a specialty type car, just ends up neglected like this. Especially with the premium that was paid for them in 1989.

It is sad that the car probably will not see the road again for a while, I am going to maintain contact in case he ever changes his mind.

Love it!!

It looks like it went through a flood with rust up as high as the speaker bolts. Probably sat outside but it looks horrible. I see those little trumpet tips sticking out in that one pic. Talk about hard to find.
